Stick around; the place really grows on you. The old farts too.

Would you model a pair for me sometime? I suggest you wear them during the upcoming 2on2 game...it'll keep McG and I motivated as we double the score on you and Flow...all the while your sweaty little leggings will be slidding down, down...

Yuck...who started this?

Don't worry - doing it with Dire wouldn't count as being unfaithful. You'd get off on grounds of insanity.

Fear not, my French Friend. Here at the Forum, as Prime Minister (lame duck or otherwise), I am forever faithful to my sweetie, Miss D. Rob is even going to drive us to a Prom when I make it over there again one of these days for some fine Irish Whiskey, complete with the right atmosphere, fish&chips, and a few black&tans...

As Rob alludes, Dire and pink leggings just go together some how...nothing more to it.

You mean my good friend Dire? Oh my...trust me, just as Scorates noted, love of brothers is something altogether different...hmmmm...wait a minute. OK, lets see.

Damn it! Dire and I are just "friends"...you know, like you and the Belgians.

Anyway, Miss D knew from the start she could never come between Dire and me and our appt with other forum friends on the court of ultimate decision (basketball).

But, she knows me well enough to understand Dire isn't fit to do much more than shower up after the game without any of the usual high school gym shower pranks. Well, one can hope anyhow.

Splained: Dire and I are really friends; you, I assume, and the Belgians are not friends. Thus, suggesting we have the same relationship was sarcastically implying that Dire and I get along as well as you and the Belgians.

Maybe I should explain all my lame attempts at humor?

You know, it occurs to me that Prime Ministers always had quite a time "working" with their French counterparts during those few skirmishes 95 and 65 some odd years ago, so maybe this is all as it should be, eh?

Well you most assuredly have a lot to work with, my friend.

Given some of our past discussions, and taking our Gallic friend's talent for renaming into consideration, maybe I should be robtheworldwarwordsmith - has a certain war correspondent glamour to it, don't you think?

Excellent! I can see it now, Rob, you looking Cronkite-esque, reporting from Paris, just as he did from Nam in 68, and just as then, you conclude our war with skies cannot be won, but in a strange twist of fate, you conclude the only solution is nuclear escalation. Unfortunately, your last minute flight from France ends up stalled on the tarmac, and while waiting for the airlines to clear you for a potty break, NC rides a thermonuclear device down thru the stratosphere waving his cowboy hat a la Slim Pickens in Dr Strangelove...

Gotta get back to work now!

To most of the world I am a foreigner - I have no 'attitude' in that respect (although plenty in other directions admittedly). And I'm not that serious - just a miserable old bastard. Stick around, you'll get used to me!
